The biennial golf tournament, the Ryder Cup, is a competition between golf teams from the United States and Europe. The Ryder Cup is jointly administered by the PGA European Tour and the PGA of America. The competition is held every two years alternating between golf courses in the United States and in Europe. The 2010 competition was held at the Celtic Manor Resort, Twenty Ten Course in Newport, Wales. The winning team was Europe.
This year the Ryder Cup will be played at the Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois from September 25, 2012 through September 30, 2012.
